OnePlus 6T Is Coming, OnePlus Sticking To Its Release Cycle

OnePlus has confirmed that it plans to release the OnePlus 6T. During the company’s OnePlus 6 AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, one user asked OnePlus if it has any plans to revert two new device releases a year to once a year. That was one of his questions, but it was the first question in a post, and OnePlus’ first answer to all that was: “We don’t have any plans to change our strategy at this moment”, which suggests that we will be seeing the OnePlus 6T later this year.

For those of you who are not aware, OnePlus did release the OnePlus 5 and 5T last year, while the OnePlus 3 and 3T arrived a year before that, in 2016. It seems like OnePlus will stick to its strategy for a while longer, which means you can expect to see the OnePlus 6T in Q4 this year. We still do not know when exactly is OnePlus planning to release the OnePlus 6T, though, the company did release the OnePlus 5T in November last year, but the OnePlus 6 arrived a month sooner than expected, so technically, the OnePlus 6T may arrive in either October or November. It is still unknown what changes will OnePlus make to the device, which is not that surprising considering that the OnePlu 6 just dropped, but the design will probably remain similar or the same, even though some improvements are expected, of course.
The OnePlus 6 was announced last week, and it will become available for purchase starting tomorrow. Two OnePlus 6 variants will go on sale tomorrow, Mirror Black and Midnight Black models, while the Silk White will become available starting on June 5. All OnePlus 6 variants are made out of metal and glass, and the device is fueled by the Snapdragon 845 64-bit octa-core SoC. The OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch fullHD+ Full Optic AMOLED display, while it sports 6GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on what variant you purchase. The phone also comes with a 3,300mAh battery, while OnePlus’ proprietary fast charging, called Dash Charge, is also a part of the package. Android 8.1 Oreo comes pre-installed on the OnePlus 6, while the phone features 16 and 20-megapixel cameras on the back, which sport improved optics compared to the OnePlus 5T.
